Giorgio Vacchiano

Giorgio Vacchiano (Italian) is Associate Professor at the University of Milan, specialising in silviculture, forest planning and sustainable forest management.

His research focuses on climate change adaptation, biodiversity conservation and forest landscape dynamics, combining experimental ecology with modelling approaches. He has authored more than 100 scientific publications and coordinated or contributed to several European research projects. His work informs forest management and climate adaptation strategies across Europe.
