The European Scientific Advisory Board on Climate Change was invited to Strasbourg to an exchange of views with the European Parliament’s ENVI Committee on recent Advisory Board outputs and the upcoming advice on the EU 2040 climate target.

On 26 April, Vice-Chair Jette Bredahl Jacobsen represented the European Scientific Advisory Board on Climate Change in an exchange of views with the European Parliament’s committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI).

Jette Bredahl Jacobsen explained the role of the Advisory Board and updated the members of the committee on its most recent work. Members showed great interest in the work of the Advisory Board, the scope of the advice on the 2040 climate target and how the EU is currently progressing towards its climate targets.
